I was born in Wroclaw, Poland in 1990. I graduated from the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences, obtaining my Master's degree in biology in 2014. The following year I finished the Interdepartmental Pedagogical Studies at the same University. In 2020 I defended my PhD thesis in medical biology at Wroclaw Medical University, Poland. My main expertise is cancer cell biology, cell cultures, molecular biology, liposomal formulation and bioelectrochemical processes in living cells.
In 2019-2021 I worked as a Project Principal Investigator and Project Executor at the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at Wroclaw Medical University, Poland. In 2018/19 I completed a research fellowship in the Frank Reidy Research Center for Bioelectrics at Old Dominion University, Norfolk (VA), USA. My main focus there was to develop a methodology for real-time observation of biological processes on the cell surface and the cellular response to the electric field. In 2021/2022 I was a post-doc fellow at the Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy Polish Academy of Sciences, where I had the opportunity to learn how to handle and study modified exosomes of neoplastic origin. Currently I am a post-doc at University of Wrocław, where my role is focused on development of liposomal formulations against the infection progress of virus SARS-CoV-2.
I am a member of the Bioelectrochemical Society, the Polish Biochemical Society and the International Society for Electroporation-Based Technologies and Treatments, a co-founder of the Student Research Group "Cancer cell biology” at Wroclaw Medical University, Poland. I am also a laureate of the Fulbright Junior Research Award 2018-19 and multiple awards at scientific conferences.
