简介

I am a senior scientist at the Institute of Environmental Physics of the University of Bremen heading the UV Satellite Data and Science group (UVSAT). My research focuses on trace gas and radiation retrieval from UV/visible satellite spectrometers and its application to atmospheric chemistry and climate research. Since 2005 I am a member of the WMO-GAW Ozone Science Advisory Group and since 2012 a member of the International Ozone Commission (IOC). My PhD I earned at the Physics Department of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA, in 1992. As a National Research Council and National Academy of Sciences (NRC/NAS) research fellow I worked for about three years in the Laboratory of Extraterrestrial Physics at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, near Washington, DC, before joining the Environmental Physics group in Bremen.
