Manuel Arellano

I am a PhD fellow at the Institute of Research in Physical Chemistry of Córdoba (INFIQC, CONICET–UNC). I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Los Andes (Mérida, Venezuela), where I conducted my undergraduate thesis on the synthesis and characterization of pharmaceutical compounds, focusing on nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). My current research focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of new inorganic materials, particularly perovskite-type oxides, with potential applications in information storage, energy conversion, and multifunctional devices. I have experience in X-ray diffraction (powder and single-crystal), synchrotron-based techniques, and powder neutron diffraction (PND). I am interested in understanding the relationship between structure, magnetic properties, and electronic behavior in these systems.
