Dan Gaita is Board Member of European Society of Cardiology, Board Member of European Heart Network and Head of Cardiology Clinic within Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases Timisoara. His long term commitment in the field of Cardiovascular Diseases in a long record of international positions and pioneering activities: - 2006 – 2010 – Member of ESC Education and Accreditation Committee (Chairman of Education and Accreditation Committee - European Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation - since 2009 – initiator and co-director of Dubrovnik Cardiology Update (endorsed by ESC Education Committee) – 2009/2011/2013/2013/2017/2019 edition - 2012 - 2015 – Board Member of World Heart Federation - 2012 - 2018 – Member of ESC Congress Programme Committee - since 2017 – Member of Hypertension Council and Stroke Council - National Coordinator of EuroAspire III, IV & V (Member in Steering Committee) Some of his activities at the National level are: - Coordination of Heart Health Charter signing event - Launching of HeartScore in Romanian language - Founding President of Romanian Heart Foundation - President and Founder of National Forum for Prevention ( NCD Alliance ) He is Fellow of European Society of Cardiology
