Carlos Ocampo‐Martínez

I was born in Manizales (Colombia) on August 30, 1978. I received my degree in Electronic Engineering in 2001 and my MSc degree in Industrial Automation in 2003, both from the National University of Colombia, Campus Manizales. I did my PhD studies in Control Engineering at the Technical University of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain). After a year as a postdoctoral fellow at the ARC Centre of Complex Dynamic Systems and Control (University of Newcastle, Australia), I was with the Institut de Robòtica i Informàtica Industrial (IRII) at Barcelona as a Juan de la Cierva Research Fellow. Since 2011, I am tenure-track lecturer (Assistant Professor) at Technical University of Catalunya, Automatic Control Department (ESAII). My main research interests are related to constrained model predictive control, discrete optimization, large-scale systems management, nonlinear and hybrid dynamics and industrial applications.
