During the first three years of his career he practiced engineering across several capacities in structural steel and reinforced concrete design and construction. Dr. Deifalla then joined McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, in 2001 as a teaching assistant and research assistant studying towards his PhD. As a teaching assistant, he assisted in teaching several engineering courses in Canada at the 200 and 400 levels. As a research assistant, he worked on several research projects including behaviour and analysis of RC T-beams in torsion and shear, and Behaviour and analysis of strengthened RC beams in shear and torsion. In 2005, Dr Deifalla Joined Mohawk College, Canada as a part time teaching various courses in the field of civil engineering. In 2008, Dr Deifalla returned back to Egypt where he joined one of Egypt most prestigious consulting firms (TCB). He led various team designing cement plants all over the world. In addition, Dr Deifalla developed various spread sheets for both concrete and steel design using the various design codes. In 2009, he joined Elshourouk Academy as a lecturer and in may 2010, joined the CIC as a lecturer, where he taught over 13 courses in the field of civil engineering and acted as head of program. He was the founder and coordinator for the weekly Engineering seminar. In addition, He acted as the head several committees for the quality accreditation.
